What it is
Provitamin B5. In skin and hair care it is used as a humectant (it holds water) and a conditioning agent, and it is a staple of Korean barrier and soothing creams.

Written 판테놀. Some packs advertise a percentage such as “판테놀 5%”: under Korean rules, when an ingredient’s name is part of the product name, its amount must be printed on the pack.
Korean rules
- If an ingredient name is part of the product name, the label must show how much of it is inside (화장품법 시행규칙 제19조④3).
